"Replacement filters shouldn't cost 1/4 of the air purifier price."
Winix makes a decent product, but the current cost of replacement air filters is a scam. Pricing a single filter replacement at $112 and then "discounting" it to 80 some bucks? These filters are essentially made of folded paper and have a carbon pre-screen. I can almost guarantee they're manufactured for under 12 bucks each. Corporate greed is what dictates the insane price. I seriously hope they end up in a class action lawsuit for price gouging.

The sales model is the same as printers and ink. The unit doesn't have to sell for much profit, because they make all the money on the replacement of disposables.

"There is no warranty if there is no customer service, BEWARE"
I bought an Air Purifier 5500-2 that quit working during the 2-year warranty. I called their customer support # 877-699-4549 but after pressing 0 for customer service the phone transferred and rang for 5 minutes with no pickup (during their posted available time). There is no warranty if there is no customer service, BEWARE

"Allergies be gone"
Let me tell you about my allergies. From the first thaw of spring until the last, gasping breaths of fall, I have allergies. Sometimes I’m up for an hour or two at night because of allergies and the rest of the day my nose is a bulbous gnome dripping into thirty tissues. Also, I’m grumpy.
19th century medicine, as described in The Butchering Art, maintained that horrifying diseases were caused by miasmas, a.k.a. bad air. Well, we now know that things like gangrene are not transmitted through the air, but allergens sure are. Last fall, my partner suggested that we buy the Winix Air Purifier; I would run it for about two hours before bed (low setting, very quiet) and, magically, I slept through the night every day of the week.

"Rating of 1-very poor customer service"
Rating of 1-very poor customer service. Purchased an air purifyier-doa. Had to return it to the company for assessment or repair-that was 4 months ago. Not a word from them since..no replies to emails. Looking at a BBB complaint.

"Clean air, at a price"
I have 4 Winix U300s in my home, I bought them all within a year of each other.

One of them developed a fan rattle which got louder over time.
Two of the others had a fan that became unstable, they would constantly go up and down in rpm which was very irritating as it was audible even at the lowest speed, a consistent hum would be better than this.
Only one of them seems to be running without issue (so far).

On a positive note they clean the air exceptionally well, I just wish they were more reliable and replacement filters weren't so expensive.

"Winix device is great, Customer Service Poor"
I bought a Winix 5500-2 model via Wayfair. Brand new unit arrived within 9 days, especially during the holidays. All of this was great. I plugged in the unit and kept it on auto pretty much the whole time. At night time it goes to sleep mode and during the day it turns on. Seems to work well with the smart sensors and smalls. Good build quality.

My only issue with WINIX is the customer service. I am having a very hard time getting proper responses from them regarding the warranty. There is a small noise coming from the unit while it's on. Kind of like two styrofoam pieces touching together, squeeky. The noise comes and goes and sometimes stays for long periods of time.

I recorded the issue via video, and submitted a warranty claim through their website. They responded saying that due to my purchase from Wayfair, to go through them. Not a problem, Wayfair was contacted and without question they issued another unit to be sent. I recieved the new unit and I was able to actually keep the original unit.

My issue is, I'd like to get the original unit fixed through the warranty as it has a 2 year warranty. Wayfair covers the first year and supposedly WINIX would take care of the 2nd year.

I would love to speak to an agent at Winix to get this resolved. Emailing them has lead me nowhere and they continue to copy and paste their warranty information instead of responding properly to my email request.

"Clean air"
Clean air! I got 5 of these from Costco to help with seasonal allergies. It is incredible what a difference they make now that they are scattered throughout the house. After running for a few weeks I checked the filters and to my amazement there was a thick layer of dust/lint. I’m so happy with this purchase, they make a big difference and there is little to no dust in my house now.

"Poor Customer Service"
I received a Winix 5300 from family and... oh how I enjoy it. However after a short period of time... at startup the Winix will begin to make a loud obnoxious noise. I thought "it'll go away" but no, after several failed attempts to contact Winix for some help on this matter, since it hasn't even been a year that I have owned it. I figured ok, Winix can help with warranty - but NO! they require a proof of purchase and after trying to get this so called receipt with no luck, i'm also out of my Winix because they will not warranty or reach out without proof of purchase. Long rant and paragraph just to say - Poor Customer Service!

"I have two Winix air filters...."
I have two Winix air filters in my home, during these smoke filled days they really did the job and I am grateful. I have them for a couple of years now, and no problems to report. Whisper quiet is a plus.
